The bridge over the Columbia was also out and required a long detour on busy hwy to get around. I think there were also some access issues across the firing range. The trail allegedly goes all the way to Spokane but at the time I was looking at it there were a lot of places where the trail hadn't really been maintained and I read accounts of having to ride on naked rail ballast, or though long patches of goatheads and even having the trail vanish into swamps in the middle of nowhere. I rode it on 35mm touring tires on a cross bike with a rack and panniers which sucked for the Ellensburg to Easton part but which was fine for the rest. The Snoqualmie tunnel was long and dark and quite chilly. There is a bathroom with running water at the Hyak Sno-park parking lot. There are a couple of other camp sites with a pit toilet a couple miles East of Hyak along side of Keechelus Lake. I camped at Lake Easton State park which I think had hiker/biker sites as well as running water and even showers. West of Easton, the trail improved considerably. Between Ellensburg and Easton, it was pretty slow going with a lot of deep gravel and big rocks on the trail. There were a couple of closed tunnels, a couple of which of which I went though anyway and one which was impassable that required a long detour up some steep terrain. I rode it a few years ago from Ellensburg to Rattlesnake Lake.
